The Goebel Group has set itself the task of prioritising the topic of environmental protection and sustainability on a daily basis and driving it forward.

The European Green Deal aims to reduce CO₂ emissions by 35% by 2030 and achieve net zero by 2050. The Goebel Group supports these goals.

A lengthy construction phase with various approval procedures has been successfully completed (as of 1 August 2024) and Goebel GmbH can now use the new PV system for the production of blind rivets & tension fasteners at its site in Erkrath.

1052 PV modules were installed on a PV generator area of 2,089 m². The PV generator output is 436 KWp and the PV generator energy (AC grid) is 392,922 kWh/year.

The new PV system contributes to an annual CO₂ saving of 230 tonnes.

This investment is also part of the overall "Made in Germany" concept and helps to reduce the CO₂ footprint. This is intended to conserve valuable resources and reduce the environmental impact.
